Lori Randle
Lori
Randle has played golf since she was 13 years old. She played her
junior and amateur golf in Edmonton, Alberta. When she was 13, she
started working at golf courses. As a junior, Lori played in many
national junior and amateur tournaments and competed in 3 Professional
events.
!n
1999 Lori moved to Victoria, BC and was quickly hired to work in
the golf shop at the beautiful Victoria Golf Course. Six months
later she passed her playing ability test and turned professional.
She started teaching within one month and hasn't looked back.
After
two years at Victoria Golf Course Lori made a move to further her
teaching career and moved to Cedar Hill Golf Course. She taught
full time for 2 year at Cedar Hill Golf Course.
In
2003, Lori was recruited to help launch the GBC Golf Academy at
Olympic View Golf Course. In 2006, Lori was voted the BC PGA Teacher
of the Year.
The
2007 golf season will be Lori's eighth year as a golf professional
and sixth as a full time instructor.
Lori's
Teaching Philosophy
Lori believes that with all the different body types, her teaching
style has to change to best accommodate each individual.
Lori
feels that most golfers don't understand how the golf swing works
because the information they have been given has been incorrect
or too technical. Her approach to teaching is very simple and easy
to understand for all areas of the game.
Lori's
philosophy is based on keeping the focus on the most important thing,
the golf club. From there, the body will do what it needs to do.
This is different than many instructors who ask their students to
do things they are unable to accomplish.
